ACT Club and Test Preparation at Yazoo County School District

In keeping with its commitment to graduating students who are college and career-ready, Yazoo County School District provides resources and support to help students succeed on the ACT.

Preparing for the Test

Yazoo County School District schools keep a supply of test prep materials for students to use. Students can request ACT practice materials from their school’s library or counselor’s office. Career and technology teachers also help students access online ACT test prep through an online portfolio service. Students typically create their logins in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) classes in high school.

Online ACT Prep Resources

• ACT Official Website – The ACT website offers affordable online training and books for test preparation. Online training costs less than $25 for a full year, and the official guide with five practice tests is available for about $35. Free practice tests for each subject area are also provided.

Instructor-Led Workshops

• Get2College ACT Prep Workshops – Free ACT prep workshops for high school students are offered on Saturdays one week before ACT dates. Advance registration is required. Check their ACT prep page for open registration and training dates.
• Millsaps College ACT Test Prep Course – Test prep courses are offered on Saturdays before ACT dates. The course costs $70.
• Mississippi College ACT Reviews – ACT prep courses are available on Saturdays for high school students. The course costs $60.

Additionally, many faith-based organizations and local colleges offer ACT preparation workshops.
