The first Student Services Team meeting of the school year took place this month, marking a productive start with a focus on critical topics. The agenda included discussions on Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), aligning Individualized Education Program (IEP) components with state standards, and best practices for conducting IEP meetings.
In line with our commitment to "Building Leaders from Within," we were pleased to have two of our own staff members lead the presentations. Rebecca Holley, SLP, and Emily Harris, Inclusion Teacher, shared their expertise and insights, providing valuable guidance to the team. The meeting was skillfully facilitated by our Case Manager, Dr. Mary Andrews, ensuring a collaborative and informative session.
Adding to the excitement, door prizes were also a hit, bringing an extra layer of fun and engagement to the meeting. This gathering not only provided crucial information and strategies but also reinforced our team spirit, setting a strong foundation for supporting student success throughout the school year.
